Attending the MCDDM Open Day at the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME), Coventry University, as part of the Metrology Measurement Open Day Series.
The Midland Centre for Data-Driven Metrology (MCDDM) Open Day Event was hosted at Coventry University on the 4th June. It aimed to facilitate an informative discussion among leading figures in industrial metrology on various interesting topics. These include the history of metrology, education in metrological science, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in metrology, and expectations for future enhancements in the field. Taraz Metrology participated in this second instalment, hoping to gain further insights into the science of metrology.
Aside from the discussions, we also had the opportunity to showcase our advancements in the field of optical metrology. Notably, several visitors were impressed with the capabilities of our Areal Surface Measurement System (ASM), which performed scanning and measurements within a few seconds.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Taraz Metrology made good use of the opportunity by connecting with several metrology experts and sparking innovative ideas. If you find this interesting and would like to know more about us, please feel free to get in contact.
