3rd MCDDM Open Day Event - Loughborough

The third and final Midland Centre for Data-Driven Metrology (MCDDM) Open Day Event was hosted at the Sir David Davies Building, Loughborough University on 4th July 2024. We enjoyed chatting and showcasing our Areal Surface Measurement (ASM) System to curious individuals at our booth. It was a great day for individuals to explore metrology solutions and learn more about our work in the field.

As the last event of the Metrology Open Day Series by MCDDM, we wanted to reflect on what a wonderful opportunity and learning experience it has been for us at Taraz Metrology. We are committed to continuously learning and developing within the fast, evolving metrology industry to stay at the forefront of advances.

Background

The MCDDM is a collaborative initiative led by the University of Nottingham, in partnership with Loughborough University and Coventry University. This multi-site collaboration brings together expertise from all three institutions to drive innovation and advance research in data-driven metrology, combining advanced technologies with precision engineering to tackle industry challenges. Their goal is to develop a pipeline of highly skilled engineers equipped with industry-relevant skills to ensure the UK remains competitive in the evolving landscape of digital manufacturing.
